District Board Meetings

Olathe National Night Out

Visit Our News page for prior year's story

During the months of October 2020 and August 2021 fun filled evenings for Olathe were hosted by OFPD and OPD, bringing in the MCSO K-9 Unit and more from the world of first response.  A Chili cookoff turned into many bowls of chili for the public - no winner was declared, but good food enjoyed by all.  Dancing in the street got the Chief out kicking his shoes and the Olathe Police Department joined in the fun.  This event is quickly becoming a tradition and we look forward to hosting more in years to come!  Stay tuned for more...

Workplace Environment Survey

March 15, 2022

ILG Strategic Services was engaged by the Board of Directors of the Olathe Fire Protection District to conduct an evaluation of the workplace.  Surveying and interviewing board members, and current and past employees, confidential responses gained the insight that OFPD is a great place to work, and the survey results were like non seen in such a process by ILG before.  To read more about this, please visit the About Us page.

Community Support

March/April 2022

OFPD has received numerous letters, gift baskets, flowers, Thank You cards, baked goodies and more from the Olathe Community as a showing of support and thanks for the services provided.  From the deepest regions of our hearts, we thank our community and our supporters and sincerely appreciate the showings of gratitude our community shares with us.  These simple gestures reinforce why we do what we do and further the love of our jobs!

Thank you for your support!
