Since 1947, the Olathe Fire Protection District has been answering the call for help... now with 3 fire engines, 2 brush trucks, 2 tenders (water trucks), 4 ambulances, 3 QRV's, and ears always listening...we are still responding to the needs of the Olathe community.

OFPD History

Ever since the Town of Olathe was incorporated in 1907, volunteers have handled the firefighting duties for Olathe and its surrounding rural area. In 1924, the first volunteer fire department was officially organized for the town and a Model T Ford truck was purchased.
